LymphaTouch® therapy in Liverpool

At The Physiotherapy Centre, we are committed to bringing leading rehabilitation technology directly to Merseyside. We are proud to announce that our North Liverpool and South Liverpool clinics are fully equipped with LymphaTouch®, an elite, medical-grade negative pressure device designed to transform how your body heals.

Whether you are recovering from a sports injury, managing a post-op C-section scar, or dealing with chronic swelling, LymphaTouch® offers a comfortable, non-invasive solution that delivers visible results from your very first session.

Are you struggling with persistent post-surgical swelling, stubborn scar tissue, or chronic tissue tension?

What is LymphaTouch®?

Unlike traditional massage or compression techniques that push down on the skin, LymphaTouch® is a specialised negative pressure device. It works by using a gentle, controlled vacuum (suction) combined with high-frequency mechanical vibration to lift the skin and underlying fascial layers vertically.

By pulling the tissue upward rather than pressing down, it creates instant space beneath the skin. This decompression opens up the lymphatic capillaries, accelerates cellular circulation, and dramatically speeds up the body's natural waste-removal process.

How It Works: The Power of Negative Pressure

To understand why LymphaTouch® is so effective, it helps to look at the three core physiological mechanisms it activates:

  • ""

    Lymphatic decompression

Your lymphatic system is your body’s waste-removal network, but it doesn't have a central pump like the heart. When swelling (oedema) accumulation stalls, LymphaTouch® acts as a manual stimulant. By dilating the lymphatic vessels, it allows fluid to drain away up to 60% faster than standard manual therapy.

  • ""

    Fascial release

Chronic pain and stiffness are often caused by fascial tension (the connective tissue wrapping your muscles). The negative pressure vertically stretches these fibres, instantly improving flexibility and range of motion.

  • ""

    Targeted vibration

The built-in mechanical vibration shakes stubborn, hardened tissues at a cellular level, disrupting pain signals and encouraging immediate blood flow to local tissues.

Key Clinical Benefits

Our physiotherapists in both Liverpool locations utilise the LymphaTouch® device to treat a wide variety of conditions:

What to expect during your session

Your LymphaTouch® treatment is entirely non-invasive, completely safe, and highly personalsed.

Your physiotherapist maps out your specific areas of swelling, restriction, or scarring across the relevant lymphatic pathways.

We place the specialized treatment cup on your skin and adjust the negative pressure (ranging comfortably from 20 to 250 mmHg to perfectly match your tissue tolerance.

The device is guided along the tissue using either a pulsating 'lift-and-release' or a continuous 'lift-and-hold' setting, combined with targeted cellular vibration.

Once the tissue restriction and fluid are cleared, your therapist integrates light active movement or manual therapy to lock in your newly gained range of motion.

The Professional Advantage: Because LymphaTouch® does the heavy lifting mechanically, it protects fragile, healing tissues from the bruising or skin discoloration sometimes associated with traditional, static cupping methods.
